Organisations across all sectors of our economy in both rural and urban settings are pursuing ambitious plans to become “net zero” over the next 25 years. In some cases their timescales are considerably tighter. To meet these objectives sustainability strategies and action plans are being drawn up. Typically these stress the importance of getting your own ship in order in particular in areas of energy demand reduction and a shift towards use of renewable energy sources. Yet as reports like the xx highlight, there is a lack of capacity within many organisations to enable this transition from highly centralised energy systems to more decentralised, local ones.
We aim to provide a range of more client-side services across a typical project lifecycle to support organisations to develop and progress their strategies and programmes to support their low carbon transition. We can engage through short-term or long-term contract assignments either of fixed duration or through more flexible call-off arrangements. We also recognise that many organisations are keen to build up their knowledge and capacity in-house. We can support this through secondment arrangements where we work alongside existing staff, whether this is physically or virtually.
We provide technical expertise in areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy generation including electricity and heat and energy storage. We also cover projects looking at the potential for Electric Vehicle charging points. Where appropriate we work with engineers who bring specialist expertise in specific technologies.
We work with a wide range of associates and partners in other specialist areas to complement our capabilities. These include consultants, engineers, planners, architects, landscape architects, local installers, researchers, community engagement professionals and a range of other advisors.
